We will be upgrading the server on Sunday, Feb 28th, from 3PM to 8AM CST the following morning. The purpose of this upgrade is to ultimately move all MySQL databases to a new iSCSI volume for improved performance and reliability. Note that the initial upgrade on Sunday will simply allow us to switch accounts over to a new system able to interface with the iSCSI volume. The MySQL databases will be moved to the iSCSI volume a few days later, and should not result in any downtime or service interruptions.

You all know that we perform significant hardware upgrades every year or two, so you are likely familiar with the procedure. When the upgrade takes place, your sites will remain online and accessible; however, from 3PM CST on February 28th to 8AM CST on March 1st, you should not make any modifications to your account. (In other words, try to avoid uploading or deleting files, modifying databases, or changing settings through CPanel.) Note that changes made during this period will likely be lost.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this thread.

This portion of the server upgrade has been completed successfully. We will work to shift MySQL over to the iSCSI volume during the next few days, but we do not expect any service interruptions related to that move.

Please note that if you have custom nameservers (ns1/ns2.yourdomain.com, for example), you will need to update the IP addresses associated with your nameservers at your domain registrar. The primary nameserver should use 74.86.9.202, whereas the secondary nameserver should use 75.126.226.208.

You should be able to access CPanel at http://elixant.com:2082.
